Born and live in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia 1975, After graduating from the Addis Ababa University’s School of Fine Arts and Design in 2003, I went on to do some graphic designing and experimental art workshops. Before becoming a full-time studio artist, I dabbled in a number of vocations including building bodies for cars, woodwork, and electronics. Though I may have found employment, my love for art and my dedication to it did not falter. The work that I did at the various jobs that I'm held influenced My’ art. The skills that I honed in my various vocations came in handy when I was asked to participate in the building of the Zemen Bank Kora Bull. The sculpture, the first of its kind in the country, was a difficult long term project that took the creativity and genius of a number of artists. I’m also worked on a number of other large scale group projects using media ranging from wood and metal, cement sculptures to mosaic. Having participated in a number of groups as well as solo exhibitions.
